Echo — Voice Journal · Effective 10 August 2026
Echo — Voice Journal (“the app”) is operated by Vishal Gandhi (“we”, “us”), an independent developer based in India, publishing as BetterSuite. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have. The short version: your content stays on your device. We do not collect it, see it, sell it, or share it.
The app stores the following information locally on your device only:
This information is created by you, belongs to you, and never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it using your device's own share features. We have no servers that receive it and no ability to access it.
Permissions are requested only when needed, and the app keeps working if you decline (the related feature is simply unavailable). You can change permissions at any time in your device Settings.
Because everything is stored on your device, you are in full control: deleting content inside the app deletes it, and uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device. If your device backs the app up (e.g. iCloud or Google backup), copies are governed by your device backup settings, which you control. If you have any data question or request, contact us at support@bettersuite.app and we will respond within 7 days.
The app is not directed at children, does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone (including children), and contains no advertising or behavioural profiling.
Depending on where you live (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU GDPR, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data. Since the app's data lives only on your device, you can exercise these directly in the app; for anything else, our grievance contact is support@bettersuite.app.
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled (for example, adding an optional backup feature), we will update this policy first and note the change here before it takes effect.
